Just a few short years ago, Chandler Mogel was simply another music fan who happened to have an incredibly large record collection and an even more incredible talent waiting to be discovered. It wasn't until a random chance to sing with a friend's band finally showed him the way to what would be his future. Now, only a short time later, he has gone from complete beginner to vocal phenom; already boasting the admiration of audiences and the respect of those he once admired from afar. With an array of top professionals behind him, he has become a time bomb of energy waiting to explode.
Hailing from the small urban centre of Reading, Pennsylvania, and now residing in New York City, Chandler grew up to the sounds of '70s funk, soul and acid jazz, thanks to his father's influence. Yet, it was the pounding beats of hard rock and heavy metal that truly inspired him. Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, these bands provided the soundtrack of his youth and started what would become a CD collection of thousands. Hoping to live up to the standards set by these great artists, Chandler wanted to make sure he did it right when he answered his calling to music and singing. This led him to seek out the tutelage of the critically acclaimed vocalist and TNT front man Tony Harnell in NYC. Thanks to his unwavering dedication to perfection, Chandler was accepted as a pupil and has since made the trip to Manhattan for some two years now to study under his hero turned teacher.
Despite the heavy demands of his vocal training, Chandler has also kept himself busy performing and recording throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. While his mainstay bands are the top local bands in their area, Chandler has continued to reach toward new heights. Recently, he performed at the world renowned Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York and recorded with world famous neo-classical keyboardist/composer Vitalij Kuprij on his latest record. In addition, he acted and sang in productions of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Godspell. As if all of this wasn't enough to keep a man busy, in late 2005, Chandler recorded some tracks which were produced by Grammy nominated producer Marty Mellinger. Currently he has just completed a demo with his blazing new melodic hard rock band, Tournament.
The credentials may be nice, but the highlight of any singer is of course his voice. With a wide range and passionate delivery, Chandler's voice is a finely tuned instrument of beauty. It is one which is equally at home in rock, Broadway, funk, R&B, pop and many other styles. Chandler's seemingly unlimited versatility gives him the unique ability to slide into any musical situation and come out on top. Even so, Chandler isn't one to rest on his laurels and is constantly trying to improve himself in every way, which can only mean that things will keep getting better as time goes on. After all, this is only the beginning of what is to be a long and illustrious career. So look out world ' and get ready for the new vocal sensation that is Chandler Mogel!!!
